Fabulous handmade sterling silver sculpture by famous Israeli artist. Rare Yaacov Heller Sterling Silver “Jonah & The Whale” Sculpture on Stone Art Base. This beautiful piece is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. Dimensions of item are: 4 1/2″ Tall, 8″ Wide Base, 5 deep and Weighs – 5 lbs 6oz. Here’s what I found on Wikipedia about Mr. Heller: Heller was born in 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio, as Jack E. Heller into a traditional Jewish family. He studied at the Cleveland Museum of Art. And has served in the US Navy. In 1965, he moved to California. And began to develop a wide range of custom-made gold jewelry. In 1972 he became a resident of Jerusalem. Israel, and was a member of Kibbutz Urim. Since the 1970s, Heller has been commissioned to create silver and bronze electroformed-cast representations of Biblical figures. These were given to world leaders including Gerald Ford.
